What is the "Intelligent AR?"


AR is a general term used to describe any one of many designs adaptations for civilian rifles from the common U.S. Military M16 battle rifle.  It is a really simple, reliable, relatively inexpensive rifle that is a lot of fun to shoot and can be used to serve lots of purposes in the hands of an informed owner.  A more versatile rifle has never been created.  This is why we love our ARs.

Reliability

A well built, well maintained AR is extremely reliable.  Many people use these rifles for personal defense or law enforcement purposes every day. Like any machine, if it is treated poorly, it can be made to fail.  The number one reason ARs fail to operate is due to poor choice of ammunition.

Accurate

Accuracy is where the modern AR really excels.  Because
of its simple design that allows the barrel to achieve
almost perfect barrel harmonics, shot after shot, the
AR platform is one of the most accurate autoloading
rifle ever made. 

Of course, not all ARs are built for extreme accuracy.     
Just as they are not all built for extreme reliability.

It is understanding the limitations of these two key factors
and the capabilities to blend them within a single AR that
is the basis behind the term "The Intelligent AR."

Service

We are shooters at Live To Shoot.  Knowledge, experience and a high level of customer service is what we bring to the game.   We  work with fine rifle and pistol smiths on a daily basis to help our customers get exactly what they want.   We also work directly with the manufacturers to produce small runs of rifles to meet the requests of our customers.    We provide barrel break in services for all our ARs and we shoot each one with a variety of commercial ammunition to determine which  brand and bullet type gives the best accuracy in your rifle.  The test target is provided inside the rifle's case.  Generally, we expect any rifle built or specified by LTS to be able to shoot under 1" groups at 100 meters.  Match rifles should shoot under .5" groups at the same distance.  They won't ship until they meet our specs.  We fire between 40 and 60 rounds during break in and group testing.  If the rifle malfunctions, we either fix it or send it back to the OEM. 

At Live To Shoot we can get you a 16" AR that will shoot under 1" groups or a gas piston gun that will work inside of a hurricane or dust storm.  If nobody makes the rifle you want, we will get it made.  We know what can and can not be done and we shoot every rifle before it leaves our care to make sure it functions as advertised.
